King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT)

IWAIT (International Workshop on Advanced Image Technology) is the 
international workshop related to advanced technologies on multi-media, computer 
graphics, etc. This workshop has been hosted among Asian countries in Jeju island, 
Korea (1998), Hsinchu, Taiwan (1999), Fujisawa, Japan (2000), Daejoen, Korea 
 (2001), Hualian, Taiwan (2002), Nagasaki, Japan (2003), Singapore (2004), Jeju 
island, Korea (2005), Okinawa, Japan (2006), Bangkok, Thailand (2007), Tsinchu, 
Taiwan (2008), Seoul, Korea (2009), Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (2010),  Jakarta, 
Indonesia (2011), and Ho Chi Minh city, Vietnam (2012).In 16
University) as general chair organized the workshop at Nagoya University during 
Jan 7-9, 2013. The papers are from Japan (175 papers), Korea (21), Thailand (13), 
Taiwan (5), Singapore (3), Indonesia (2), Malaysia (2), Sweden (2), China (1), Sri 
Lanka (1), and USA (1), totally 226 papers. Moreover the organizing committee 
organized student poster sessions comprising 27 papers.
The workshop started from opening ceremony in early morning of Jan 
7, 2013 at Toyota Auditorium, Nagoya University, plenary speeches were 
then addressed by the following speakers, and finally keynote, invited papers, 
and regular papers were presented in parallel sessions. On Jan 8, 2013, oral 
presentation sessions and poster sessions were run by four parallel sessions.

     Title: Creating Unique Interactive Experiences through 
 “Collaborative Education”
 
Plenary speaker: Prof. C.-C. Jay Kou, University of Southern California, USA
     Title: Depth-Based Visual Signal Processing
 Then next IWAIT is planned to hold in the center of Bangkok, Thailand by 
 King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) during Jan 6-8, 2014.
