Abstract

This paper proposes an analysis of the cancellation of the common mode conducted EMI usng balanced switching technique with a new integrated inductor applied for a high step-up converter. The integrated magnetic technique is proposed to merge two separated coupled inductors into a single core inductoe. The analysis of steady state operation and the DC transfer function of the proposed convertor is presented. The winding technique is presented. Two main performance issues, efficiency and common mode, are focused. Key waveforms of voltage and current of the MOSFET and the inductor and the common mode current are confirmed by both of simulated results and measured results. The step-up converter is tested at rated 50 W.
Finally, the analysis of common mode conducted cancellation is presented. The trade off between the advantage of EMI reduction and the efficiency drop is duscussed.
